My Story

Matt Campbell is a transactional attorney focused on federal tax planning, federal tax controversy and audit matters with the IRS, as well as business law and private equity. He is licensed in Texas, Oklahoma, and Iowa. Matt has over 20 years of experience in Big Law, in-house as a Director of Tax Planning and Controversy, including prior experience at Big 4 accounting firms. His clients range from high-net-worth individuals to business owners as well as private equity and private and public companies. His methodical and relentless planning and IRS audit defense efforts have saved clients significant sums in federal taxes and include work on technical requirements under IRC Section 1202 to qualify for a 100% exclusion from capital gains tax on sales of qualified small business stock (“QSBS”).
