Jake began his legal career in 2007 in Philadelphia, PA, as an in-house paralegal for a global consulting firm.  While attending law school at Rutgers University in the evenings, he assisted Senior Counsel managing complex litigation and document subpoenas. It was this experience that prepared him for a 14 - year career as an in-house litigator for WTW, a global consulting firm offering an array of services to some of the largest employers in the world. Applying a pragmatic approach, he managed large-scale claims, responded to subpoenas and regulatory requests, prepared and defended witnesses for depositions, advised his internal business clients to resolve prelitigation disputes and served as a trusted advisor to senior leadership. In 2015, he relocated with his family to DFW and in 2024 he launched The Law Office of Jake Thomson offering legal representation and counseling to individuals, small businesses and even other law firms.

Jake is a graduate of Rutgers University School of Law in Camden, NJ and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from Pennsylvania State University.  He is licensed in Texas and Pennsylvania.
