My Story
Kimberly Stotts Hinton is a business-focused attorney with an emphasis in trademark, contracts, corporate compliance, data privacy, and international business law matters. She is a graduate of BYU School of Law in Provo, Utah, and holds a BA in English Literature from BYU—Hawaii in Laie, Hawaii. Kimberly is licensed to practice law in Texas and Utah.
A sixth-generation Texan, Kimberly was raised in the DFW and Houston areas. She began her professional career as a regulatory compliance consultant to an international cosmetics company in The Netherlands, advising on European Union regulatory issues. She subsequently worked as a Trademark Examining Attorney at the United States Patent and Trademark Office, in the Washington, DC area. In this role, Kimberly gained a unique skill set in trademark law learned from trainers, mentors, and associates with extensive knowledge and experience. She was later a contract attorney with Caterpillar Inc. in Illinois, aiding in the company’s revamping of their domestic and international trademark portfolio database. She was delighted to add the identification of specific land-moving equipment to her knowledge base.
Kimberly has been fortunate to enjoy an international lifestyle, previously living in Switzerland, France, The Netherlands, and Belgium, but is happy to call her native Texas home. Fluent in French, she stays current on international and American politics and events. She was appointed by the city council to serve as a member of the Library Board for the City of Allen. In addition to her involvement with her church women’s group, she has served on various school and community committees for swimming, marching band, drill team, Destination Imagination, cheerleading, choir, PTA, ballet, theatre, competitive dance, and Boy Scouts of America. She has four intelligent and talented children who are excelling in their roles as a rocket scientist at NASA flight control, a kinesiology student, a neuroscience student, and a teenage cosmetics influencer. A prolific reader, Kimberly is close to reviewing 1000 books on Goodreads and loves to discuss favorites.
