Jane specializes in intellectual property litigation, from pre-suit due diligence, to trial in district court, to inter partes reexam (IPR) before the PTAB, and disputes at the ITC. Having asserted patents as well as defended clients in complex multi-defendant cases, Jane has 12+ years of experience in all aspects of patent litigation. On the business side, Jane has developed patent enforcement strategies, streamlined portfolio management, created licensing strategies, and prosecuted patents and trademarks before the USPTO.

Jane graduated in 2009 from Washington and Lee School of Law and rose to a principal at Fish & Richardson's Dallas office. In 2013, Jane clerked for the Honorable Judge Rodney Gilstrap, one of the nation’s leading IP jurists, in the Eastern District of Texas, accompanying him to sit by designation on the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. More recently, Jane spent 3 years in-house for a UK consumer products company as their only US counsel creating patent harvesting programs, IP portfolios, and strategically developing and managing their litigation matters. With her unique intersection of big firm, federal court, and in-house experience, Jane is well positioned to advise on litigation strategy with a keen business eye.

Jane lives in Dallas with her two small boys. When she’s not soccer or karate mom, Jane is a professional artist who loves to paint in oil and watercolor. She accepts commissions on occasion and especially enjoys doing figurative and pet portraits.
